What Is Copyediting?
Copyediting (sometimes spelled copy editing) is not the same thing as developmental editing (also called substantive editing), which is "big picture" editing done before the writing of the manuscript is completed—or, sometimes, even begun. I do not offer developmental editing.
Copyediting is also not the same thing as line editing or proofreading, which I do offer.
While line editing is stylistic, copyediting is technical. As your copyeditor, I will ensure all of the following:

- no spelling errors
- perfect grammar
- correct use of punctuation
- subject–verb agreement
- correct and consistent capitalization
- consistent style and formatting
I will also:
- check facts
- note when permissions may be needed to publish copyrighted material
- cross-check references, art, figures, tables, equations, and other features with mentions of them in the text
- verify links
- create tables of contents
- create bibliographies
